Yahoo plans to hire 500 more people to increase its India headcount to 2,700 people from the current 2,200 by the end of 2008. At the beginning of this year, Yahoo India had about 1,200 people on its rolls.

“On an average, we are recruiting about 60-80 new employees every month since the start of this year and expect to continue the trend till the end of 2008,” Yahoo India has said.

Yahoo has its offices in three Indian cities — Bangalore, New Delhi and Mumbai. The company’s operations in India are spread over Research & Development, Sales & Marketing and Research Lab, reports LiveMint.
